The Teddy Award recognizes employers with workers' compensation and injury prevention programs that prioritize their people. Winning programs take a holistic approach, consistently aiming to improve workplace risk and outcomes for their injured workers.
M-DCPS is the 4th largest school district in the United States and employs food services workers, janitorial and maintenance workers, bus drivers and aides, mechanics, a school board police force, medical professionals, school administrators, instructional teachers, and more.
As a loss prevention and reduction technique, M-DCPS developed the Rebuilding Me program, which supports employees' long-term health and wellness by providing nutritional education, exercise opportunities, social activities, and more.
